Hyperlink leading to a passage dependent on location?

Hi there. I'm quite new to Twine (starting my first Twine game as we speak) but I'm wondering if this is possible to do:

What if you have a hyperlink (quite a regular one) which can tell the player what their "current mood" is.
This would lead into another passage, after which we'd display the description of the current room again so they could see what choices they had again.

However, I'd also like their mood to be dependent on what location they're in.

So how would I do this? Would I just create a link to the passage (which would return the "current mood" using the If command and so on, which is fine)...but then I'd somehow have to get Twine to understand to print the rest of the room description.
Which would be different depending on which room they just came from.

Otherwise the slower approach would be to make hundreds of new passages everytime the player wants to check their mood which is just overkill.

I know it might sound easier to constantly display the player's mood on-screen (using variables) but I want to avoid that, the hyperlinks will be hidden in the first place for the player to find out for themselves.

Anyone out there who could help me?
